# Claude to PDF – Save a Claude Answer or Artifact as a PDF

Paste a Claude answer or Claude artifact and download a clean PDF with intact tables, bullet points, headings, and code blocks, plus optional page numbers and headers.

## How it works

1. Copy the answer from Claude.
2. Paste it into the depapel editor at https://depapel.ginylil.com/claude-to-pdf.
3. Choose a theme and click Download PDF.

## What stays intact

- Tables render as real document tables
- Bullet and numbered lists keep their shape
- Headings stay as headings
- Code blocks with language-aware syntax highlighting
- Bold, italic, links, and images
- Optional page numbers (`<depapel-page-numbering/>`)
- Optional repeating headers and footers (`<depapel-header>` / `<depapel-footer>`)
- Forced page breaks (`<depapel-page-break/>`)

## Honesty note

depapel converts the text you paste. It does not connect to Claude or generate text for you.
Conversion runs on the depapel server only for the duration of the request; your content is not stored or logged after the PDF is generated.

## Works with Markdown too

AI tools write their answers in Markdown — a text format with # for headings, ** for bold, and | for tables. That is the same format our /markdown-to-pdf route uses. You do not need to know this; you just paste the answer.
