# DOCX and PDF to Markdown converter

Upload a `.docx` or text-based `.pdf`, review the imported Markdown, and continue in the
same depapel editor. This route supports Hebrew and other RTL text, returns image asset
references inline, and keeps the browser experience aligned with the normal editor flow.

## How to import

1. Open https://depapel.ginylil.com/docx-pdf-to-markdown
2. Click **Import file** or drag a local `.docx` or text-based `.pdf` anywhere onto the page.
3. Review the imported Markdown.
4. Leave direction on auto or switch to RTL if the document is Hebrew-heavy.
5. Export PDF or DOCX again, or switch to the Email, Slack, LinkedIn, or WhatsApp copy surfaces.

## Honest limits

- PDF import uses extractable text only. It recovers bold and italic spans when the PDF exposes
usable style fragments, but does not promise underline, page-chrome, or arbitrary layout
reconstruction, and it does not run OCR.
- Image-bearing imports stay in the current browser tab only so browser draft storage does not
  keep uploaded image bytes.
- Uploaded files are processed only for the duration of the request and are not stored after the
  response completes.
